WeMusic - Steinway Asia Pacific
Teacher Education Partnership Program

In November 2019 Dr. Blair, a Steinway Artist, was featured on a five-city tour of China by Steinway Asia Pacific as part of their nationwide Steinway Teacher Education Partnership Program (STEP) presenting lectures, masterclass, and performances for piano teachers and students participating in the STEP program. In addition, he was invited on the tour to Beijing to lecture, give masterclasses and perform by the Special Music Committee of the China Culture Administration Association (CCAA). Subsequently Dr. Blair was honored to receive a three-year appointment as an Artistic Advisor by CCAA.
WeMusic- Happiness Foundation Summit
May, 2019
WeMusic was invited to lead a for a summit on choral music for k -12 music teachers and administrators in May 2019. Accompanied by Dr. Richard Gard from Yale and Dr. James Jordan from Westminster Choir College the summit, hosted by the Happiness Foundation, focused on clinical approaches to choral music as well as a workshop by Dr. Blair regarding the benefits of music instruction beyond performance. These benefits for students included the acquisition of critical analytical thinking skills, good communication skills, creativity, collaborative skills, and confidence for leadership. The summit was attended by hundreds of educators from across China.
